About Us
Cognatti, which means cousin's in latin, was born from a cousins idea of creating a sustainable and ecological project which would be tied with agricuture in the Azores Archipelago and also greatly involved with high end techology. Both cousins have a direct connection and experience in the aviation industry, then the COVID era came and the answer was simple - drones for agriculture.
We started this inovative work by investing first in training and education, along with understanding the necessary means for compliance and requirements for licensing the operation under European and National laws.
We then acquired the equipment and softwares necessary for the business in 2020 and started operating in August 2021, after receiving our first Operational Authorization from the national aviation authority.
Our Team

Our team consists of experienced professionals with expertise in agriculture, engineering, and drone technology, working together to develop innovative solutions for the challenges faced by farmers today. We are dedicated to providing our clients with the best possible service and support.
Strategy

By using our drones to collect data such as plant health, temperature, and soil moisture, we can provide farmers with actionable insights to optimize their crop management practices. We are constantly exploring new ways to use drone technology to improve agriculture. We collaborate with farmers, researchers, and other stakeholders to develop innovative solutions that address the challenges faced by the agriculture industry.

Safety and Compliance

At Cognatti Drones and Agriculture, safety is our top priority. Our drones are operated by licensed and experienced pilots who follow strict safety protocols and guidelines. We also ensure that our operation follows the National Aviation Authority (ANAC) regulations, making sure our Operational Authorization is certified and up do date.
Environment & Sustainability

We are committed to promoting sustainable agriculture practices that protect the environment and ensure the long-term viability of our industry. Our drones allow for targeted and precise application of fertilizers, reducing waste and minimizing their impact on the environment. Additionally, our data-driven approach to crop management helps farmers optimize their practices, reducing the need for excessive use of resources such as water and energy.
